Why are bamboo sheets so expensive?
If you’re considering buying bamboo bedding, you have probably already heard of all the benefits of bamboo, but why is it so expensive?
Bamboo is a naturally sourced material that grows organically and in abundance. The intricate process of turning this wonderful raw material into luxuriously soft bedding is the main factor that drives the price up. The bamboo needs to be turned to pulp and then chemically processed to extract the fibres from the plant. These fibres are what lead to the high-quality, luxury feel of bamboo bedding as they are woven into ultra soft, breathable fabric. All of our products are OEKO-TEX STANDARD 100 certified, meaning they are tested for harmful substances and meet the industry standards.

The processing for bamboo is more complex than for other materials because of how fine bamboo fibres are, but the end result is what makes the price worth it. While we expect to pay premium prices for luxury goods, bamboo bedding is no different as the quality is incomparable to cheaper textile options. An additional factor is that with bamboo’s exceptional durability, your bamboo bedding will outlast all your cotton bedding as the longer fibres are far less prone to pilling and snagging.
We believe that buying our bamboo bedding is investing in a better sleep, which in itself leads to many other benefits that you can read more about here. (link to blog post about importance of sleep?)
